Daniel R. Bunnell, of Prescott, Arizona unexpectedly passed away on January 23, 2017. Dan was born on June 27, 1955 in Denver, Colorado. Dan graduated from Sheridan High School in 1973 after which he enlisted in the United States Marine Corps. Dan joined the Marines in December '72 and reported to boot camp about two weeks after graduation (on his 18th birthday). Dan was sent to school at the Computer Sciences School at Quantico Virginia, and spent the remainder of his four year enlistment at the Marine Corps Computer Center in Kansas City, Missouri. After serving his country, Dan embarked into a career in computer programming. His career took him to California where he worked until he retired to Prescott in 2011.
Dan did volunteer work for Meals on Wheels and a serveds as a member of the Board of Directors. He also volunteered at Orange County Parks Adopt-A-Park program (California) and The Nature Conservancy. Dan was a quiet man with an extraordinary sense of humor. He left lasting impression on those who got to know him.
Dan was preceded from this world by his father Harry Thomas Bunnell Sr. and his brother Harry Thomas (Tom) Bunnell II. He is survived by his mother Theresa Bunnell of Littleton Colorado, brother Steve Bunnell (Erin) of Santa Maria, California, brother Dave Bunnell (Tresa) of Littleton, Colorado and niece Kaylee Ikola (Jon) of Santa Maria, Ca. Dan will be interred at Fort Logan National Cemetery.
